In the face of governments that are riddled with corruption, the development of servant leaders with integrity is the greatest need in Africa today. 20,000 Daystar graduates are leaders who are doing just that – standing up for truth in a world that seems to offer no hope for a solution.
Daystar University has over 40 years of proven impact in Africa. It offers 35 undergraduate degrees, 16 masters programs and 2 Ph.D programs. With over 5,000 students from more than 30 countries, Daystar University is making a continent-wide impact.
Daystar U.S. and Daystar University have been a team since 1982. Located in Minnesota, the Daystar U.S. office provides Daystar University with fundraising and support stateside.

• Daystar University is an inter-denominational and evangelical Christian university located in Nairobi, Kenya. Daystar’s mission is to educate Christ-centered servant leaders who will transform Africa.

• The name “Daystar” is derived from the Bible (2 Peter 1:19), which is used to describe Jesus Christ. The hope of Daystar University is that every Daystar student would shine brightly for Jesus Christ as His lights in the world.
• Daystar University produces African solutions from African leaders committed to a lifetime of community-based, sustainable wholistic transformation. 97% of the faculty and staff are African.
• There are over 20,000 Daystar alumni living around the world, impacting their communities in real ways.
• Approximately 5,000 students are enrolled at Daystar University from over 30 African countries. Over 90% of alumni stay in Africa after graduating.
• Approximately seven students can be educated at Daystar for the cost of educating one African in a similar U.S. institution.
