Daystar Celebrates Opening of New Fitness Center

It was such a blessing to be with our Daystar family after being away for so long!  It was also wonderful to observe in person what we had seen through photos.  The new fitness center and gym equipment was even more spectacular to see in person.  It is such a fabulous facility with the new, state of the art equipment.  The students at Daystar are thrilled!

In May 2019, Jack and Camie Eugster visited the Athi River campus and saw the bad condition of the the fitness center and equipment at that time.  They generously committed to help provide the best new equipment to replace the equipment that was not sufficient.  

President Laban then made the commitment to build a new fitness center building -  funded by Daystar University.  This would be home to this new equipment.   This fitness center was almost completed when a world wide pandemic made delivery of the new equipment very challenging.   In the end, it worked out, albeit a bit delayed. 

This wonderful equipment was made possible by close friends of Daystar and is some of the best equipment found in all of Kenya.  Thank you so much, Jack and Camie!

While in Kenya, I was able to test out the equipment. The students laughed at me - I guess they realized that I may need to work out more often. :o)

On March 4th, Daystar had a grand opening for the "Jack and Camie Eugster Fitness Center."  Here is a video of the event at this link or click on the photo below.

 On March 4th, 2021, Daystar University inaugurated the Jack and Camie Eugster Fitness Center, providing one of the best equipped fitness centers for Daystar University students.
