Daystar University Orphan Scholarship
Prisca just started at Daystar University this semester
Prisca was rescued by a Daystar alumni, Mary Mambo, who founded the Cana Children's Home. Here is her story in her own words:
I hail from Nairobi Kenya; Mukuru Slum. I live in Cana Children’s Home. My dad passed away and was only left with my mum who was unable to take care of me thus my adoption into the Rescue Center. I came to know the Lord when I came to the rescue center after we were introduced to some teachings that uplifted us spiritually. So far, accepting Christ as my personal savior is the greatest thing that has happened in my life.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Education at Daystar University. I chose this course because I have a great passion in teaching and I love giving back to the society that enabled me to get to where I am now. I hope that after graduating with my degree I’ll have a job where I can expound my skills. I believe that one day I will become a great lecturer and professor. I would like to teach other teachers and create better teachers in the society.
Thank you for giving me a chance in education, which is a milestone to my success. I can now see a brighter future awaiting me in this road to my destiny. This scholarship really means a lot to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you. May the Lord continually bless you and increase you in all ways. Words alone can never be enough to express my gratitude. You remain in my thoughts and prayer. God bless you.
Best Regards,
Prisca
