During the Covid-19 lockdowns at Daystar, your support for Daystar scholarship students has never been more important. With all classes moved online, students have shifted to their homes where they and their families depend on your support not only to complete their studies but to survive through economic hardship.
Scholarship student, Hans, shared about how they are feeling during the upheaval during the Corona virus pandemic.
Hans wrote, “With the recent reports on the global pandemic, it has been quite difficult to put what I have learned into practice since we are all practicing social distancing by self-isolating at home. The university has really helped in ensuring that we are able to proceed with our classes uninterrupted through the e-learning platform. The school has even gone the extra mile to help students in purchasing internet bundles by reaching out to all mobile networks in Kenya and enabling us to purchase internet bundles at lower rates making learning to continue smoothly.
Since I am almost finishing school, a prayer request I have in mind is strength; emotionally, physically and psychological so that when I am done with school and can begin my life’s journey starting with employment. I pray for strength that I may be able to endure the challenges that come before me, and that I may not stray away from the Lord’s will.
These four years that I have been at Daystar University have been mighty fulfilling, and it is all thanks to you. Had it not been for you, I probably wouldn’t have been the man I am today, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity given to me and I wish you nothing but God’s favor upon your life. Thank you and God bless you and your family, as you have blessed my life immensely.
