Scholarship students, June and Nadia, share lessons learned during Covid-19.
June Wairimi from Kenya is majoring in Business Administration and Management and is planning on graduating in June 2021.
During the Covid-19 lockdowns at Daystar, your support for Daystar scholarship students has never been more important. With all classes moved online, students have shifted to their homes where they and their families depend on your support not only to complete their studies but to survive through economic hardship.
Nadia Muthoni from Kenya is majoring in Communication and is planning on graduating in June 2021.
Two scholarship students, June and Nadia, recently shared about lessons they are learning in this crisis.
June shared, “The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our lives and the traditional ways we are accustomed to. It has forced us to unlearn and relearn. E-learning has been a challenge especially due to connectivity. However it has taught us to be innovative and think outside the box. My faith in God has also been strengthened because God cannot forsake us in the wilderness. I am hopeful that God will provide for us.”
Nadia shared “Being quarantined and the whole story of the Coronavirus have taught me lessons that I had not learned before. With all this happenings, I still hold dear to the faith knowing that God is in control.”
Thank you for supporting scholarship students like June and Nadia and pray that they will serve many in need as they are away from campus.
