I wanted to give you an update from the email last week. So many of you responded in donating and in prayer. Over $7,060 was given to assist these students struggling! Thank you! Please continue to pray for these students as they finish exams this week in a difficult time.
Yesterday I was able to have a conversation with Jeniffer Kinoti, Daystar Financial Aid Director. We have a video in which she shares a story of a family who was helped through your support. We are so thankful for Jeniffer, who is like a mother to so many students at Daystar – she cares for each student like they were her own. We miss not being able to see Jeniffer and her family in person! It was a long conversation, so we may share more of it in a future email (this video is about four minutes long).
Once more I would ask you to consider a special gift today to assist families, like the one mentioned in the video. The Hope Fund gives one-time grants to assist these students – most of these grants are from $100 - $1,000, usually averaging around $500 each. This semester around 60 students will need $20,000 – so the grants will average just over $300 each. Please help us refill the Hope Fund! There is no gift too small and no gift too large.
