James grew up in the slums with his family. Throughout his youth he struggled with sever malnutrition that led to many health problems. These health problems often made James miss much of his primary school education. By the grace of God he was able to complete his primary education and secured a scholarship to Daystar University.

Upon starting school at Daystar it was the first time James had access to food on a regular basis. The nutrition he received and God’s healing hand took away James’s stomach ulcers which had been plaguing him since childhood.

James now uses his education to help bring the gospel to local primary schools in the Nairobi area.
