Daystar Graduation November 2023
Alan Cooke, Bill and Barb Boulware, President Corbin Hoornbeak (University of Northwestern - St. Paul), and I were so honored to celebrate with the almost 1,500 students that graduated on Nov 10th, 2023 at Daystar University! This was Daystar's largest graduation class to date and we couldn't be more thankful for the Lord's blessings.
As always, Kenya has left a mark on my heart. The hospitality and warmth of our friends who live there cannot be matched. Take a look at some of the trip highlights below:
President Hoornbeak was invited to be the keynote speaker and guest of honor. His message filled the students with hope for the future and charged them with staying true to the ideals of Christ-centered servant leadership.
Cate, who was previously mentioned in my emails, received one of the highest student honors - the Chancellor's Award. This distinction was awarded to her for the work she has done in the financial aid office and her genuine servant's heart. Cate, a scholarship student herself, has assisted hundreds of students in securing scholarships and growing into their potential at Daystar.
